ED: Honey production gets momentum

There are roughly three types of honey production: the collection of wild honey, small-scale production, and industrial-scale production. With industrial honey production, bees may be subject to a variety of processes and procedures. These include artificial feeding regimes, artificial insemination, treatment with antibiotics, inhumane transportation conditions and culling. It has been said that except for man, nowhere in the world is there anything to compare with the incredible efficiency of the industry of the honeybee. Inside the beehive each been has a special job to do and the whole process runs smoothly. Bees need two different kinds of food. One is honey made from nectar, the sugary juice that collets in the heart of the flowers. The other comes from the anthers of flowers, which contain numerous small grains called pollen. Just as flowers have different colors, so do their pollen. It is worth mentioning that bee honey is a mina ingredient in tradition food culture in different regions of the world. Honey is widely utilized as an ethnic food time. Honey production has been increased across the world and it is very good for improving economy. Farmers who are highly engaged in honey production could be benefited a lot once their production gets momentum, and export aboard. The domestic and global honey markets closely influence reciprocally. Honey production has been emerged as a hobby and an industry in Afghanistan. Recently, marking national honey day, the ministry of agriculture brought together dozens of beekeepers from around the country where some showcased their produce. The plus point is that the production of the sweet substance has increased by 24 percent in the past years—indeed a great milestone in honey industry. Afghanistan produces over 2,000 tons of honey a year and that 6,500 people work in the sector. This is not the stop point; the related officials said they will do everything under their capacity to provide more facilities for beekeepers, asking them to put tireless efforts to produce high quality honey. Quality is the number one demand of the honey lovers. It is hard, even impossible for beekeepers to dominate domestic and international markets sans producing high quality honey. At the same time, the related officials must come up to the fore to help the beekeepers in finding market for their products. Lack of market could be one of the key reasons behind little producing honey. Noting this, technical support and to help find market for their honey must be main concern of the government.
