Perception is the way in which something is regarded, understood, or interpreted. Perception can be split into two processes. Firstly, processing sensory input, which transforms these low-level information to higher-level information. Secondly, processing which is connected with a person’s concepts and expectations and selective mechanism that influence perception. It is also taken as an awareness of something through the senses. Perception is also a process by which people translate sensory impressions into a coherent and unified view of the world around us. Though necessarily based on incomplete and unverified or unreliable information, perception is equated with reality for most practical purposes and guides human behavior in general. Taking this into account wrong perception is coming with incorrect behavior. Good behavior creates good perception, bad behaviors gives birth to negative perception. As recently Afghan journalists from different media outlets visited Pakistan and discussed key issues with Pakistani high-ranking officials, and they were asked to remove wrong perception via focusing on good issues between the two countries. Afghan media delegation visited the ministry of foreign affairs, ministry of state and frontier regions, ministry of commerce, higher education commission (HEC), the headquarters of frontier constabulary, the national security division, and Inter-Services Public Relation, where the core point of the meeting was to eliminate wrong perception between the two states. During every meeting, the focal point was to remove mistrust, and also to wash away wrong precision. As it clear that wrong perception comes with incorrect behavior, which Pakistan is at boiling point on that. There is no positive things have so far done by Pakistan to show brotherhood with Afghanistan. Recently, it shut down crossing points, in which Afghans were suffered a lot financially and emotionally. Afghan refugees living there were harassed and detained following series of attacks. Sharbat Gula, an Afghan woman who once appeared on the cover of National Geographic as a green-eyed 12-year-old girl has been arrested for living illegally in Pakistan under false papers. After days of imprisonment, and indefatigable efforts by Afghan government, she was freed and returned home. Moreover, Pakistan still playing double game and is not sincere in peace efforts and the country still supporting and harboring militancy. There are several issues that are enough for Afghans to have negative perception against Pakistan and that’s true based on ground realty. In every period of time, the government of Pakistan stood against central government. But Afghanistan has always wanted to have good relation with Pakistan. The visit of former president Hamid Karzai to Pakistan more than 20 times during his presidency, and the visit of President Ashraf Ghani after assuming office is clear indication that Kabul holds strong intention of having good relation. But again the duplicity policy of Pakistan has frustrated Afghans. Taking in view these matters, the Afghan journalists asked Pakistan to take practical efforts toward restoration of cordial relations between the two neighboring countries. Good behaviors would automatically eliminate wrong perception. Sans practical step, if Pakistan invites thousands of Afghans from different organizations would yield to no fruit and lead to nowhere.
