AT-KABUL: The Attorney General Office (AGO) on Monday said that eight officials including three army generals were arrested over corruption.
“Seven people including three general of Ministry of Defense (MoD) were arrested over corruption today,” said AGO Spokesman Jamshid Rasuli.
He said that one official was under custody on the charge of corruption case, but after investigation Anti-Corruption Justice Center (ACJC) has found that seven other including three general were also involved in the cases, who were arrested today.
He said that they were arrested over graft, imitation and misusing of duties.
The mentioned arrested people charged with graft of 2.4 million afs and fuel, which cost over $1.2 million, he added.
He said that the dossier of the mentioned figures sent to the related court for further inquiry.
