AT-KABUL: Emergency department in Khairkhana 102-bed Hospital was inaugurated on Wednesday.
Public Health Minister Firozuddin Firoz, head of Khairkhana 102-bed Hospital Dr. Hasib Jebran, members of the parliament and a number of locals were present in the inauguration ceremony.
The emergency department was reconstructed at a total cost of Afs3 million and is equipped with all needed facilities.
The health minister termed reconstruction of the emergency ward a vital move for improvement of healthcare services in the hospital. He said the ministry is committed to adopt inclusive and comprehensive plans for improvement of quality health services countrywide.
Expressing pleasure over reconstruction of the emergency ward, head of the hospital said he and his personnel were committed to serve the nation honestly. “We will leave no stone unturned to provide quality healthcare services to our patients,” he added.
Participants of the event talked about activities and struggles of the Public Health Ministry in improvement of healthcare services, and urged the ministry to do more in this regard.
