By Akhtar M. Nikzad-KABUL: The Etisalat, a telecommunication company on Wednesday announced that its internet users had soared up to one million in Afghanistan.
“Today, we are not only celebrating one million data users milestone, but are also taking a moment to appreciate our customers trust and loyalty,” the company’s chief executive in Afghanistan Salah Zerguerras told a gathering.
He added that Etisalat’ voice and data services enable the country to connect to the world in a more efficient and reliable way.
“I would like to congratulate this great achievement to Etisalat employees as well to Afghan people which had extraordinary choice in their live,” stated Zerguerras.
He assured of qualified internet services for Etisalat customers and stressed that it will continue for fright future of Afghanistan.
Etisalat is currently providing 3.75G internet services in 24 provinces while the company covers 34 provinces across Afghanistan under 2G and voice services.
Some customers of Etisalat believe that the impact of Etisalat fast internet on Afghans live has been quite remarkable.
So far people utilize from internet to communicate, do business, online shopping.
Etisalat Afghanistan is part of Etisalat Telecommunication Group, headquartered in UAE one of the largest telecommunication group in the world. Since 2007 the company has invested $400 million in Afghanistan.
