AT-KABUL: The exhibition, “National Treasure from Afghanistan,” has opened at the Hunan Museum in the central Chinese city of Changsha, the sixth site of its China tour, and will run until March 29, said Chinese embassy in Kabul on Tuesday.
The exhibit showcases 231 sets of cultural artifacts from the National Museum of Afghanistan, which helps to portray a vivid picture of Afghanistan between the 3rd century BC and the 1st century AD.
Mohammad Fahim Rahimi, director of Afghanistan’s national museum, and Duan Xiaoming, curator of Hunan Museum, attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
The exhibition was supported by both the Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan and the Afghan Embassy in China. Chinese Ambassador Liu Jinsong exchanged thoughts on the exhibition with Afghanistan’s Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Hasina Safi, who both stressed its significance.
