AT News Report-KABUL: The controllers discovered and confiscated 950 kilograms of frozen chicken that were expired in Kabul.
The chicken were found and seized in Pul-e-Charkhi area, said ministry of agriculture irrigation and livestock in a statement.
The out of date chicken belonged to Aria Ariana Company, statement added.
Statement said that the out of date seized chicken was packed of France, which five months were passed from its expiry date.
The meat was not stacked as standards and the agriculture controller delegation waste all chicken in the septic wells, statement noted.
The Aria Ariana Company made commitment not to keep expired meat anymore in their warehouse, underlined the statement.
It is pertained to mention that Afghanistan market is full of expired goods including food items particularly provincial markets, where mostly people are illiterate and can’t recognize the date, thus it is required of government to keep regular control in order to avoid selling of expired goods in the country.
