KABUL: At least five children have been killed and one other received injures after a planted bomb went off in northern Faryab province on Sunday morning, an official said.
209 Shaheen Army Crops in a statement said that the bomb had been planted by Taliban insurgents in Pashtun Kot district.
The blast occurred when the children were playing, the statement added.
The Taliban group yet to comment on the incident, but Taliban often used landmines as best weapon to target Afghan and foreign forces. However, these mines almost killed innocent people, including children and the women.
