AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: In two separate blasts five Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) personnel were killed, said official sources.
On Wednesday afternoon a military vehicle hit an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by insurgents near Khost City, the spokesman of the first Afghan National Army (ANA) Corps, Capt. Abdullah, told media. Two ANA troops died instantly after the blast and many others sustained injures, he said. However, the Director of Khost Civil Hospital, Dr Hidayatullah Hamidi, said that three dead bodies of the Afghan National Army (ANA) troops were brought to the hospital. He said that two injured were also shifted to the hospital.
In another incident two policemen were killed when their vehicle hit an IED near Tarinkot district of Uruzgan province. No group has claimed responsibility, so far.
