Kabul: Due to heavy rain and flooding in Zare district of Balkh province in northern Afghanistan, huge financial losses have been caused to the residents of this area.
Mohammad Asif Waziri, the spokesman of Balkh Province Police, said that due to the heavy floods that occurred last night, at least 300 houses and hundreds of hectares of agricultural land were destroyed in Zare city of Balkh province, and dozens of people were also missing.
He added that dozens of cattle have been perished due to these floods and many families have become homeless.
