AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: A flower exhibition was inaugurated in Mazar-i-Sharif city of the northern Balkh province on Saturday which displays more than 200 types of different flowers.
Organizers of the exhibition said 50,000 flowers of 200 different types have been put on display in the exhibition.
They said that Mazar-i-Sharif residents were requested to purchase flowers and add beauty of their houses.
Bokhdi News Agency quoted organizers of the exhibition as saying that improving the culture of flower keeping, paying attention to beauty of houses and the city and fight against air pollution are main reasons for launching the expo.
Flower exhibition is an odd event in Mazar-i-Sharif city which has not been done in past several years.
Visitors of the exhibition termed the event as useful for their practical work as most of them are students of faculty of agriculture. They said this attempt will encourage the countrymen to keep their houses green and beautiful.
