Kabul: Sayed Yusuf Halim, former chief justice of the previous Afghan government, passed away due to a cardiac problem at the age of 62.
Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the former president of Afghanistan, confirmed the death of Halim by posting a message on his Facebook page on Monday night.
According to sources, Youssef Halim died while performing evening prayers in the refugee camp in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Ashraf Ghani called Yusuf Halim his close friend and said that he is deeply saddened by his death.
A number of Afghan political figures have expressed regret over the death of Syed Muhammad Yusuf Halim, the judge of the Supreme Court and the former president of the Supreme Court of Afghanistan.
