KABUL: The dead body of Shehla Atta, a former parliamentarian and presidential runner, has been found in Kabul, a security official said on Thursday.
Brig. Gen. Farid Afzali, the crime branch chief, confirmed that the body of Atta had been found in the limits of 10th police district.
He said investigations were ongoing to ascertain the causes of her death. “The forensic department would examine her body to identify what caused her death.”
Shahla Atta was a member of parliament in 2005. She also contested the presidential elections in 2009, but failed in her bid. (PAN)
