KABUL: On the invitation of Chinese government, former president Hamid Karzai left for Beijing on Saturday.
A statement from the office of former president said Karzai left for China in the morning on an unofficial visit.
He would stay in China for four days but the statement had no details about his possible meetings with Chinese officials.
It merits mention that it is Karzai’s second visit to Beijing. Earlier, the former president visited India, Australia, Germany and a number of other countries.
