KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai expressed sadness over the death of the child who died after being trapped for at least three days in a well in the southern Zabul province.
The former president offered his condolences to the family of child and wished him paradise.
Haidar, 6, had been trapped for over 96 hours in a well in Zaldak area of Qalat, the capital of Zabul.
Although the residents and the rescue teams have tried to save Haidar, the child died even before he is taken out of the well.
According to the residents, the well is 50 meters deep, where his body remained for 96 hours.
The child was buried on Friday afternoon in Zabul.
