AT-KABUL: First speaker of the Lower House has accused President Ghani’s representatives of stoking ethnic intolerance and bigotry, saying that the president wants to split the country, Jumhor news agency reports.
“Radicalism and fueling ethnic intolerance and schism among the public, violation of the Constitution and Gen. Dostum’s exile are part of a ploy and the policy of the government,” said Humayoon Humayoon first speaker of the House on Monday.
He added that the government is nudging the country towards disintegration by creating problems among ethnicities in the north. “But I won’t let anybody especially the president to divide the nation,” he said.
He said that Ashraf Ghani didn’t represent Pashtuns and “those who fuel ethnic schism fail.”
MP Allah Gul Mujahid said, “The government is run by wolves; that can’t bring security in Kabul, much less in provinces”.
The government is trading on the blood of the nation and is only thinking about its own whims, he said.
MP Nasrullah Nili representing Daikundi province said the defective politics of the government and security agencies is taking heavy toll on the people of the country.
