KABUL: At least seven civilians, including children and women, were killed when their vehicle hit with a roadside mine planted by the Taliban group in southern Ghazni province on Sunday morning, officials said.
“A civilian’s corolla vehicle was hit by a roadside mine in Pirkai area of Jaghato district at around 10:00am local time on Sunday, in which seven civilians lost their lives,” Ghazni Press Disk said in a statement.
According to the statement, three women, two children and two men died in the incident.
The Taliban group taking roadsides mines as a significant tool to target the Afghan security forces, in which mostly civilians are bearing the losses —women and children are the main victims.
