Kabul: The former president of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai, in a recent interview with Canada’s CBC TV, called the education of girls very important and said that he is trying to regain this right for Afghan girls because education is the means of development and prosperity of any society.
“… I established a law-based government and government institutions and strengthened relations with the whole world, but I found opposition with the Western allies over civilian casualties, so it is natural that they criticized me,” he added.
Karzai expressed regret for the war in Ukraine and said “I have already said that Ukraine should have learned from Afghanistan and not let its territory be a playground between the great powers.”
