AT-KABUL: State Ministry for Disaster Management (SMDM) on Tuesday has distributed relief items and cash among 235 displaced families in northern Jawzjan province.
Provincial Disaster Management Department in cooperation with Save the Children, ACTED, UNICEF and WFP has helped needy 235 displaced people by distributing food and non-food items and cash in the province, SMDM said in a statement.
Beside food, health and relief items, disaster management authorities have distributed 12,000 Afs for each family.
According to provincial authority, some 500 families have been displaced due to draught and conflict from Faryab province and relocated in Rahmat Abad, Naw Abad and Eid Mahala in Jawzjan province.
