CHAGHCHARAN: Families and survivors of the army and police servicemen of Ghor province blamed the government for being careless about their conditions as they are scrambling with bad economic order.
They gathered in front of the governor office in a protest, asking the government to immediately help them.
They claimed that their breadwinners were killed in the conflict with the government opposition group, blaming the government for being inattentive to their situation.
However, provincial governor Noor Mohammad Kohnoord said the process of assistance with the martyr families was going on, but said only a few remained unassisted that would be helped soon.
Kohnoord said that 12,000 families received assistance in the current Persian year.
Provincial director of martyrs and disabled, Gul Ahmad Rustami said that 3,800 survivors of civilians and 750 of military personnel received their monthly salary from the department.
Rustami said they have not been able to assist those families whose documents were incomplete.
This is as earlier the government had promised to provide the families of dead soldiers and police with apartments or plots to build houses. But it was a wordy commitment by the government as hundreds of survivors of the dead ones have not received an apartment or their monthly salary.
