KABUL: Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock said that plans are underway to build over 1,000 big and small greenhouses in different provinces across the country.
The ministry spokesman, Akbar Rustami, said the greenhouse initiative will be completed by this year end.
He said that construction work of the mentioned greenhouse completed by 71 percent and the work over 225 others greenhouses is underway.
Mr. Rustami did not elaborate clearly about the location of all greenhouses, but said that 818 greenhouses were constructed in Nangarhar and Farah provinces.
Each greenhouse will be built in 60-301 meters square
Food safety of the families, access of people to vegetables in all seasons, boosting families economic and extending of new methods for vegetables’ farming were the main factor behind establishing of greenhouses.
