By Farhad Naibkhel-KABUL: The Afghanistan Chamber for Commerce and Industries (ACCI) and produces on Tuesday asked the government for further help and development of domestic products.
The ACCI in a venture with the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) and the National Center for Policy Research held a roundtable to encourage and support domestic products.
“Lack of infrastructures, loan facilities, encouraged tariffs and supportive policies main challenge a head of domestic enterprises,” said head of the ACCI Atiqullah Nasrat.
He said that the government must boost up cooperation with domestic produces and help them for further progress in the country.
Deputy of Ministry of Commerce and Industries Abdul Bari Rahman said that exportation axial must be concentrated in commercial deals throughout the country.
While insisting over motivation and supportive policy from domestic products, he said that those goods in which Afghan producer have enough capacity should be on prior.
The goods which enable Afghans to compete in a better manner in the markets should be supported, he added.
Nationwide Industrialists Union Deputy Chairman Abdul Jabar Safi said that “no significant steps have been hold to address industrialists’ challenges in the past years.”
He termed lack of industrial parks, supportive policies, power and loan facilities the main challenges ahead of domestic producer across the country.
Government must take step and boost up opportunities for investment and help traders for fighter progress, he asserted.
University lecturer Saifullah Saihoon said that no real steps hold by the government as expected to support domestic products across the country in the past years.
He said that wasting of time is enough, the government must recognize challenges domestic producers faced and seek outgoing ways in order to help homemade products.
