AT-KABUL: At least 13 coal miners were killed and three more were injured when they were attacked by insurgents in northern Baghlan province of the country on Friday, officials said.
The attack which happened at 2:30pm in Tala wa Barfak district has not been claimed by any insurgent group, governor’s spokesman, Mahmood Haqmal told Afghanistan Times.
The victims, all from Hazara minority, were travelling from Baghlan to Daikondi province via Bamyan, when their van they were travelling in was attacked in Anardara area of the district.
