AT News Report-KABUL: Eklil Hakimi, Minister of Finance, in meeting with Richar H Riley, Assistant Chief of Mission of US Embassy in Kabul–have discussed Agreement of Exemption of US Assistance to Afghanistan from Taxation, Achievements of Afghan Government including remarkable increase in national revenue which is also approved by International Monetary Fund (IMF), a statement from the Ministry of Finance said on Saturday.
More issues such as Afghanistan’s opportunities and advantages of membership in the World Customs Organization (WCO) and its new strategy for reforms Afghanistan’s customs facilities, were also discussed in the meeting.
In addition, they also talked on exchange of Custom Information with neighbor counties bringing reforms and fight against corruption and other relevant issues.
Lastly, it was decided that technical teams of both sides should work on technical and legal aspects of the agreement in order to implement it effectively, the statement added.
