AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Operatives of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) arrested three members of Haqqani network during a special operation in southeastern Paktia province.
The NDS in a press statement issued the other day said that they have detained three Haqqani network militants. The arrested men were allegedly providing bombs and information about government employees to the terrorist organization. The arrested Haqqani network facilitators were identified as Mustafa, Zakaria known as Amerullah and Din Mohammad Mohammadi.
“The arrested people were also involved in planting landmines in Gardiz, the capital city of Paktia and Zumrat district of the province,” the statement added.
The spy agency during the operation also recovered some Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) from the militants.
