Kabul: The Meteorological Department has warned about the possibility of rain with flash floods in 24 provinces of Afghanistan.
According to the announcement of this department, today (Sunday, July 24) and tomorrow there is a possibility of relatively heavy rain with floods in Kabul, the capital and the provinces of Nuristan, Badakhshan, Kunar, Laghman, Nangarhar, Paktia, Paktika, Ghazni, Kapisa, Panjshir, Parwan, Maidan. There are Wardak, Logar, Khost, Daikundi, Uruzgan, Ghor, Kandahar, Helmand, Nimroz, Farah, Herat and Zabul.
In another occasion the head of transportation of Nangarhar province said that different parts of Kabul-Jalalabad highway is closed due to heavy rains and floods, and efforts have been started to open it.
He asked the passengers to refrain from traveling on this route until the road is cleared.
