AT Monitoring Desk-Kabul – Police in the western Herat province have seized a car filled with explosives near the Indian consulate, provincial police spokesman said Friday.
“The car parked close to the Indian was identified by police,” Abdul Raouf Ahmadi said.
He added that explosives, fuses and remote controllers were found inside the car, refusing to elaborate.
Foreign diplomatic missions are not safe of terrorist attacks in Afghanistan.
A group of gunmen attacked the Indian consulate in the northern Balkh province. They entered a nearby house, starting firing at the consulate.
The 25-hour-long gunfire was ended by the death of last attacker. A number of civilians were injured in the attack.
On Monday, a bomb went off close the guesthouse of Pakistani consulate in the eastern province of Nangarhar.
