AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) has said that human rights have been largely violated in first six months of this year.
Quoted by Radio Azadi, the AIHRC spokesman, Rafiullah Bidar said the human rights situation has not stepped towards better direction; instead problems have increased in this regard.
He said that a number of factors have been created recently which have provided ground for violation of human rights in Afghanistan.
According to him, the factors include arming a number of elements in parts of the country and as well as increase in number of those who fight Afghan security forces as anti-government militants.
He said the problem of impunity still exists in Afghanistan, and irresponsible and illegal groups reside in areas where government has less control.
He pointed out to the same period in past year, and said such problems did not exist in first six months of 2014.
He said women and children are still the first victims of the war in Afghanistan and in addition to that, militia, militants and local police have recruited children, which is another big concern for their rights this year.
In the meantime, he said that violence against women is still there in the country and occurs in worst shapes and perpetrators are free due to lack of rule of law.
