Kabul: Eloi Fillion, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Afghanistan, wrote on his Twitter page that with the arrival of winter, the human situation in Afghanistan will worsen.
This official of the International Committee of the Red Cross said that stronger international support is needed to take care of the needy people in Afghanistan.
At the same time, this committee said in a report that currently, nearly 20 million people in Afghanistan do not have access to enough food and more than 24 million people need humanitarian aid.
The International Committee of the Red Cross has expressed concern that the aggravation of the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan will push millions of people into poverty. According to this committee, widows and orphans are the most important victims of the current humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, according to the statistics of the World Health Organization, nearly 19 million people experience high levels of food insecurity in Afghanistan, and more than 34,000 severely malnourished children have been admitted to hospitals this year.
