KABUL: In yet another act of terror against education lovers, the insurgents on Monday have destroyed a school in western Farah province, leaving students at lethargies.
Spokesman for the Ministry of Interior Nasrat Rahimi said the enemies of the Afghan masses attacked and destroyed a school in Tiosk village on Sunday night. The school was destroyed after insurgents used bombs to rip the village into rubbles.
It was an atrocity act against education, which is utterly in contradictory to teaching of Islam where it put obligatory on pursing education to all men and women.
This is not the first incident, in January unidentified men—probably armed individuals link to militant groups, set fire to a girl’s school in the same province.
Nearly 1,000 girls were busy pursing education, said Mohammad Sadiq Halimi, Deputy provincial of the department of education in that time.
With regret, the Shaid Banafsha girl’s schools was set in ablaze depriving girl students from education as parts of the school was damaged. “It locates in center of the province.”
Farah is considered among unrest provinces in the west, and recently the Afghan security forces escalated anti-militant operations.
