“Interim government will save peace talks”

KABUL: Political analysts believe that only an interim administration could help the ongoing peace process succeed.

Although the United States and some regional countries are making efforts to find a way to put an end to the Afghan war, Taliban militants have not yet said ‘YES’ to requests over sitting with representatives from Afghanistan government, disregarding it as the “US puppet”.

Taliban’s political office in Qatar says the insurgents prefer to hold talks with political parties and influential figures rather than sitting with the government officials.

But, President Ghani asks them how did they get legitimacy if they consider his legal government illegitimate?
