AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Border police force has been arrested an Iranian citizen in western Farah province for allegedly smuggling drugs to Iran, an official said on Tuesday.
Police spokesman, Iqbal Bahir told Pajhwok Afghan News the detainee was smuggling three kilograms of heroin in a tanker type vehicle to Iran.
He said the Iranian national was held at Sheikh Abu Nasar port by border police personnel after receiving an intelligence report.
The detainee was transporting merchandize in his transit vehicle between Afghanistan and Iran through Sheikh Abu Nasar port which is one of Afghanistan’s importing ports with Iran.
