KABUL: One person lost his life, another one received injuries in a blast that took place on Saturday night in Kabul, the capital city, police confirmed on Sunday.

The blast occurred at around 7:40 pm local time in Qala-e-Mir Abbas in PD 9th of Kabul city after police searched a suspected house. Kabul police said a home-made mine exploded during the time of search that killed one and injured one another.
According to initial findings, these people were engaged in making mines—a significant tool to target government officials. Recently IEDs placed in the government vehicles have been increased and took several lives.
Those who are killed are believed to have maker the explosive devices, police added, without give further details.
