KABUL: A number of people were killed and wounded in a bomb blast targeting a gathering of people in PD 2 of Kabul city.

“This afternoon in the vicinity of Kabul’s Eid Gah mosque a bomb blast took place on a gathering of people,” said Zabiullah Mujahid, deputy minister of culture and information.

The blast occurred during a Fatiha being performed for the late mother of Mujahid. A resident, Ahmad Zubair said that the blast occurred around 04:00 pm.

According to the eyewitnesses, more than six wounded were evacuated to the hospital.
