KABUL: The Islamic Emirate has made an agreement with the Pakistani government over Temporary Admission Document (TAD), aiming to allow free movement of trucks and staff between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
“Both sides agreed to allow free movement of trucks between Afghanistan & Pakistan subject to agreed modalities via TAD procedure and cross stuffing, effective from 21st March 2022,” a joint press release said.
Based on the new agreement, the Afghanistan consulates in Quetta and Peshawar would issue documents for the Pakistani trucks, a joint press release said. The Pakistan consulates in Kandahar and Khost will issue documents for the Afghan trucks.
The Joint Chamber of Commerce between Afghanistan and Pakistan said that the agreement will allow the Afghan trucks to freely move in all Pakistani cities.
The Afghan traders welcomed the move and termed it effective for the Afghan traders.
