AT-KABUL: Police discovered and confiscated Saturday 11 containers of the alcoholic beverages through crackdowns in Kabul.
In a press statement the ministry of interior said that police seized 11 “big containers” of alcoholic beverages through an operation in Despechari area of Kabul.
Some 89,533 liters of different alcoholic beverage was among containers, added the statement.
Statement said that the containerswere full of alcoholic beverages were skillfully hidden in a warehouse in Despechari area in Kabul.
The alcoholic beverages belonged to smugglers who planned to distribute them to the shops in Kabul city.
Nobody has been arrested on the charge of confiscated alcoholic beverages and further inquiry is going on the case, mentioned the statement.
On the other hand, police managed to discover and seize 16kg heroin through operation in Balkh province
The confiscated heroin was placed in a vehicle expertly by smugglers.
Seven suspects were arrested on the charge of seized heroin.
