AT: KABUL: At least seven people were killed and 36 others wounded in a suicide bombing in capital Kabul on Wednesday afternoon, an official said.
Spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Sediq Sediqi, said that at least seven people were killed and 36 others injured in a suicide car bombing in second police district of Kabul city.
“7 civilians, including a child, martyred, and 36, including 3 children, 4 women and 3 policemen were wounded,” Sediqi wrote on his twitter.
Another security official who wanted not to be named said that a suicide car bomber detonated his explosives among civilians that killed seven and injured several others, all of them civilians.
The blast took place in Murad Khani area at around 4:30pm.
All injured from the attack were evacuated to hospitals in Kabul city, where children and women were seen among them, officials in the Ministry of Public Health said.
An eyewitness, Najibullah, told Afghanistan Times that several people were killed and injured in the attack that also damaged several vehicles.
