KABUL: A large number of residents of southern Kandahar province took the streets of the provincial capital city on Monday, where they protest the recent airstrikes by the Pakistani forces in Khost and Kunar provinces.
The protestors chanted anti-Pakistan remarks.
On Saturday, Spiri area of Khost and Shiltan district of Kunar province were targeted by the airstrikes carried out by the Pakistani forces, where more than 40 people including children and women were killed and wounded.
“No one takes action. We call on the Islamic Emirate to give a strong response to Pakistan” a protestor said.
Previously residents of southeastern Khost and eastern Nangarhar provinces held rallies to protest the attacks.
Afghan diplomatic missions run by former government officials in a joint statement condemned Pakistan’s airstrikes on Afghan soil and called it violation of international norms and Afghanistan’ sovereignty.
The attack on Khost and Kunar faced widespread reactions among the Afghans.
