AT-KABUL: Ex-President Hamid Karzai in a letter to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) expressed his deep grief over recent US airstrike on a hospital of the organization in northern Kunduz province.
A US airstrike on MSF hospital in Kunduz on Saturday killed nine people, including three children.
Hamid Karzai appreciated the humanitarian assistance of the MSF to Afghan nation over the past years and urged the organization to continue its support to Afghanistan.
Karzai extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for quick recovery of the wounded.
Doctors without Borders, the international humanitarian assistance organization, said the other day that it has withdrawn from Kunduz after the deadly airstrike.
