Kabul: The former President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai met with the Deputy Secretary General and the Special Representative of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Afghanistan Mr. Tariq Ali Bakhit and his delegation. In this meeting, while the current situation in Afghanistan and the region was discussed, Hamid Karzai appreciated the efforts of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to strengthen the unity and harmony of the Islamic nations and praised the cooperation of the organization with Afghanistan.
Karzai also emphasized the need for education as the basis for the growth and development of human society and requested the support of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in this regard.
Also, Hamid Karzai called the national dialogue between Afghans necessary for the stability of peace and stability in the country and insisted on its starting as soon as possible.
