AT-KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai called the recent Indian forces’ attacks on what he called the “hideouts of terrorists”, justifiable to defend their homeland.
“Afghanistan is the victim of terrorism and extremis for years, and we realize the need of such operation better and more than any others,” the former president told Indian ambassador to Kabul Manpreet Vohra in Kabul.
Karzai added that he “frequently called on the US in the past 13 years to target the terrorists’ sanctuaries outside Afghan border to remove them”, but unfortunately, his voice was not heard.
