AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Ex-President Hamid Karzai during his visit to China met with Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao on Wednesday at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Li said that Afghanistan and China are two friendly neighbors that trust and support each other.
Li added that China is committed to boost trade cooperation with Afghanistan. “We are committed to support the peace process of Afghanistan and help the country to achieve durable peace, stability and development,” Xinhua, a Chinese news agency, quoted Li as saying.
Hamid Karzai lauded friendly relations between the two countries and appreciated China for lending its support to the peace process and development of Afghanistan.
Chinese media had previously published a photo of the former Afghan president walking at the renowned Silk Street Market in Beijing, the capital city of China.
