KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai on Sunday met former deputy minister of interior Gen. Mohammad Ayoub Salangi, praising his efforts in serving for security.
In the meeting held in Salangi’s residence, Karzai thanked him for carrying out his duties with very honesty in the past 13 years.
The ex-president called Salangi a patriotic person and praised his services as police chief of Herat, Kandahar, Nangarhar and Kabul provinces as well as deputy interior minister.
Salangi welcomed Karzai to his house and vowed to help the people and government as his national obligation. He expressed readiness to serve the country and people anytime needed.
He lauded Karzai’s efforts for founding the infrastructure of the Afghan National Police.
