KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai expressed his deepest concerns over the clashes erupted between the Taliban fighters and so-called resistance armed men in the northern province of Panjshir.
“Unfortunately, despite efforts of the mediators, military operation and fight erupted in Panjshir, which is a deep concern and is not in favor of the country and people,” Karzai was quoted in a statement issued by his office on Friday.
Former President called on both sides that war was not a solution but it would create further chaos in the war-torn country.
He urged the two sides to resolve the problems via negotiations and pave the ground for an enduring peace.
