AT-KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned Tuesday’s attack in Kandahar province, calling it against Islamic and human principles, carried out by the enemies of Afghanistan.
The attack took place in the provincial governor’s guest house in Kandahar city, while the governor was meeting the United Arab Emirates ambassador to Kabul and his companions. Twelve people including a member of the parliament and a senator, provincial deputy governor, an Afghan and a number of the UAE diplomats were killed.
Provincial governor and the UAE ambassador were injured.
Karzai expressed condolence to the “families of martyrs, wishing the martyrs paradise and patience for their families”.
