KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the oppression committed by the Afghan warring parties in several provinces of the country.
The Office of Former President in a statement said that based on the reports of UNAMA, a large number of civilians including children suffered casualties within past three-day of violence ragging across the southern provinces of Helmand and Kandahar.
Karzai said that the use of the people’s residences as shelter by the Taliban, and the bombardment of these residences by the government and foreign forces is not only human rights violation but is also a clear oppression on the people of Afghanistan.
Former President called on both side to get aware of the foreigner’s plots and rescue the country from an imposed-war that aiming to fracture the country. He also urged the sides to ensure peace through intra-Afghan negotiations and perform their religious and national responsibility.
