Kabul: Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, met with Ms. Amina Mohammad, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, and her accompanying delegation.
Hamid Karzai welcomed the mentioned delegation to Afghanistan, and expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of the United Nations with Afghan people especially the humanitarian assistance, and asked for the continuation of this cooperation.
Former president emphasized on the vital importance of education and the reopening of educational centers for girls in the country and the return of women to their duties.
Karzai also considered the national dialogue important to ensure lasting peace and stability in the country and emphasized on its beginning as soon as possible.
