KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai met with the special envoy of Malaysia for Afghanistan, Ahmad Azam, and his accompanying delegation on Saturday.
The former President’s office said in a statement that the meeting focused on the expansion of relations between Malaysia and Afghanistan.
“Former President thanked Malaysia for its support” to the people of Afghanistan, the statement reads.
Karzai hoped that Malaysia provides an educational opportunity for Afghan youths.
As Afghanistan has recently been hit with a severe crisis- many Afghan students studying abroad are facing traveling challenges to attend their classes. To help the students with their problems, the Former President has so far held several rounds of meeting with the students—mainly those who are on scholarship abroad.
