AT-KABUL: Former President, Hamid Karzai praised the government of Egypt for honoring Afghan philosopher, Sayed Jamaloddin Afghan and erecting his statue in the Liberty Park in Cairo.
Cairo’s municipality unveiled the Afghan’s statue on August 6th, already erected in the Cairo’s liberty park.
The former president called the move as a great honor for every Afghan.
Sayed Jamaloddin Afghan was a freedom-loving philosopher and defiant of the Muslim society. He dedicated his life in struggling against oppression and tyranny.
His struggles and opinions were inspiration for many freedom fights in the Asian and African states.
The constitutional movement and political awareness in Afghanistan were founded by Afghan’s students that resulted in the independence of the country from British colonial.
Karzai expressed hope that more nations follow Afghan’s freedom-loving opinions as a leading theory.
