KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai expressed sorrow over the death of Fahim Dashty, a prominent journalist, who was killed in clashes erupted between the resistance militia and Taliban fighters.
“Late Fahim Dashty was a critic of my government and a loud voice for freedom of speech,” Former President said. “His death was a great tragedy.”
He offered his condolences to the family of Fahim Dashty and wished him paradise. The National Resistance Frontier confirmed that Fahim Dashty was killed in recent clashes.
Fahim Dashty had paid tremendous efforts in support of freedom of speech.
